We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Merchandiser to join our dynamic team at Sosandar. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in fashion merchandising, looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced, trend-driven environment. The Junior Merchandiser will support the merchandising team in managing product assortments, stock levels, and inventory processes to drive sales and maximize profitability.

The role

  • Be accountable for own departments from initial planning process to weekly trading with support from Merchandiser.
  • End to end planning with Buyer and Designer for seasonal sign off meetings.
  • Analyse prior years data to build new season strategy alongside the Buyer. Able to confidently present this back to management and the wider team.
  • Following up on any actions and amends from sign off meeting.
  • Range building alongside Buyer and Designer across multiple channels - Ecom / Retail / Concessions
  • Managing WSSI and OTB in line with the planned strategy, as signed off with Management ahead of season launch. Using Line cards to protect availability on flow lines and reviewing actions to be taken when required.
  • Ownership of intake and awareness stock landing in line with WSSI plan. Able to feedback to Merchandiser/ Merchandising Director as well as wider team with any issues or delays.
  • Reviewing weekly sales and trade reports to present back highlights and lowlights of the week for your departments as well as any actions to be taken.
  • Propose weekly repeats following new trading reactions in line with OTB.
  • Making sure Trainee Merchandiser is keeping all systems up to date with all PO amendments and new intake dates when agreed with suppliers.
  • Supporting the Merchandiser with in-season and pre-season planning.
  • Liaising with freight forwarders around shipments and cut off dates, making sure Trainee Merchandiser is updating all internal reports/wider team with relevant info.
  • Reviewing sales for external partners and retail stores and highlight any fast/slow sellers to the Wholesale team alongside any potential actions to support sales across the business.
  • Managing and developing a Trainee Merchandiser, alongside supporting with the development of other junior members of the team.
  • Supporting the Merchandiser and Merchandise Director with Ad hoc analysis/ reporting when requested.

About you

  • Prior experience at Assistant Merchandiser level or higher for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong communicator and able to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience of Power BI and Power Query would be an advantage.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload.
  • Strong attention to detail/eye for accuracy.
  • Proactive and adaptable.
