Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans (ILPs) and contribute to monitoring pupil progress Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure students' needs are met within the curriculum Support students with a range of strategies to improve concentration, behaviour, and independence in learning Build positive relationships with students, promoting a nurturing and supportive environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting, with a focus on SEN A strong understanding of a range of SEN needs and the ability to apply effective strategies for support Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning A proactive attitude and the ability to use initiative to support students and staff An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environmentDesirable but not essential: Relevant qualifications (e.g. Teaching Assistant Level 2/3, SEN qualifications) Experience working with students with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviours, or other specific learning needs.
