Chef Noor Murad to visit Wilmslow for evening of culinary exploration

Chef and cookbook author Noor Murad is set to come to Wilmslow for an exclusive evening of culinary exploration at the Wilmslow Kitchen Cookery School on Tuesday 27 May.
Hosted by the award-winning Simply Books, this intimate event offers a rare opportunity to engage with one of the most influential voices in modern Middle Eastern cuisine.
Noor Murad, best known for her work with the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen, will be in Wilmslow to discuss her debut cookbook Lugma.
She'll deliver a hands-on cooking demonstration served alongside a glass of wine and offer plenty of tips on how to recreate the dishes at home.
Lugma, meaning "a bite" in Arabic, is a heartfelt tribute to the foods Noor grew up with in Bahrain. The cookbook blends traditional flavours with modern interpretations, offering dishes such as Spring Time Fattoush, Stuffed Baby Aubergines, Slow-cooked Fenugreek Lamb with Pickled Chillies, and Pistachio Cake with Labneh.
Restaurateur and food writer, Yotam Ottolenghi, said: "There's an incredible generosity to Noor's cooking, capturing the spirit of so many cooks across the Middle East: bold gestures, big flavours, whole universes of food around a single table."
Perfect for home cooks and anyone interested in the rich tapestry of Middle Eastern cuisine. Experience firsthand the passion and creativity that Noor brings to her cooking, and gain insights into the cultural stories behind each dish.
