Wilmslow Town Council has awarded a community grant of £2,000 to Dean Row Village Hall.

Dating back 100 years, Dean Row Village Hall is located on Browns Lane, off Adlington Road and is a registered charity.

The facility is used on weekdays as a community event space for a wide variety of groups, including Cubs, Scouts and Brownies, dancing and arts classes, and recreation groups such as WI and Bridge clubs.

At weekends, the hall can be hired for private events.

The community grant from Wilmslow Town Council will be used to purchase equipment and external storage units to expand on-site storage, helping cater to the needs of hall users. It will also fund new fence panels.

Wilmslow Town Mayor, Cllr Tim Higgins, said, "Dean Row Village Hall has long been at the heart of the Dean Row community, bringing people together and providing a welcoming space for its users.

"This funding will help maintain and improve the facilities, ensuring it continues to serve the community for years to come. We are pleased to support its longevity."
