Roadworks will be in place from the junction of Hough Lane to the junction of Moss Road between 4 November to 8 November (Wilmslow Nub News).

Delays are to be expected as there is a road closure on Heyes Lane in Alderley Edge due to roadworks.

The closure is expected to last from Monday 4 November until Friday 8 November.

This is to investigate carriageway collapse between Moss Road and Hough Lane.

Cheshire East Council have issued a notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road: Heyes Lane, Wilmslow East Ward, Wilmslow, from the junction of Hough Lane to the junction of Moss Road.

The alternative route will be via the following streets: Heyes Lane, Wilmslow Road, Harden Park Roundabout, Pendleton Way, Thorngrove Roundabout, Prestbury Road, Hough Lane Roundabout, Hough Lane.

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times.

Cyclists will be required to dismount in order for access to be maintained and vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

The closure is necessary for Cheshire East Highways to carry out carriageway investigations.

It is anticipated that the work will take place between Monday 4 November to Friday 8 November 2024.

This notice will become operative on Monday 4th November 2024 for a period of 5 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed.
