Everything you need to know about Christmas Lights Switch-on for Wilmslow and Alderley Edge

There will be two separate Christmas light events for Wilmslow and Alderley Edge.
The Christmas lights switch-on for Wilmslow will take place on Saturday 16 November 2024.
The Artisan Market also returns on the same day on Alderley Road in Wilmslow between 10am and 5pm.
From 2.30pm onwards, there will be stage entertainment with local choirs, groups and bands at Bank Square.
At 4pm Santa and his reindeer will parade from Wilmslow High School to the Leisure Centre along Broadway/Walpole Way.
Those who wish to visit the reindeer can do so outside Wilmslow High School by the Holly Road entrance from 3pm on the day.
One lucky winner has already been selected in a competition run by Wilmslow Town Council to ride in Santa's sleigh and help switch on the Christmas lights.
The big countdown to the Christmas Lights switch-on will begin at 5pm at Bank Square.
It should be noted that timings may be subject to change and further information will be shared closer to the date.
The Christmas light switch-on for Alderley Edge will take place on the following weekend on Saturday 23 November.
The event will take place on London Road in Alderley Edge where there will be a Christmas market, live music and much more.
Sixty stalls from independent businesses will be located down London Road bringing micro bakeries, street food, cakes, fresh roasted coffee and much more for the festive occasion.
Entertainment on the stage will commence at 4pm and London Road will be closed from 2pm to 9pm.
