Wilmslow: Free Fitness Festival announced for Alderley Edge next month

A free outdoor fitness day just a two mile drive from Alderley Edge will take place next month.

Alderley Park Conference Centre has already been protecting public health this year as one of our counties' biggest vaccination centres, and now they are helping us shed a few lockdown pounds as well.

The Festival of Fitness will take place in August at the Congleton Road country estate.

Alderley Park is located in Nether Alderley, on the Macclesfield and Alderley Edge border.

The stunning, state of the art health and fitness facility Everybody @ Alderley Park will be hosting an open day on the 7th of August and will be offering FREE fitness activities all day.

It will be a perfect for those looking to find out more about health and fitness in the area. It is hosted by Everybody Sports & Recreation, who already have facilities in Wilmslow and Macclesfield's Leisure Centres.

The open day will showcase the fantastic facilities on offer, including their immersive group cycling studio, Les Mills The Trip, top of the range gym including state of the art fitness equipment from Technogym and Reach Wellness, purpose built fitness studios and exquisite tennis courts and football pitches.

The open day will include free group fitness classes including Bootcamp, Yoga, Les Mills Body Pump, sessions on Les Mills The Trip and more.

There will also be some Olympic themed activities for anyone that wishes to attend Everybody @ Alderley Park.

Between 9am - 1pm people will also be able to attend free gym sessions, taking a tour of the top of the range Technogym equipment, and a chance to try the fantastic five Concept Range from Reach Wellness and the spectacular Senso Pro.

The expert Personal Trainers and Fitness Experience Leads will be on hand to support you in your workouts and talk about your fitness goals.

Activities including tennis, football and a range of fitness challenges are also available for you to challenge yourself and be in with a chance of winning some exciting prizes.

Manus Twomey, Senior Operations Manager at Everybody Sport and Recreation commented, "We are so delighted to be able to open the doors of Everybody @ Alderley Park to the local community and show them what we have to offer.

There will also be exclusive membership joining offers available at the event only.

Tours of the bespoke centre will come with a free goody bag for the first 50 new Everybody members to sign up on the day.

About 63% of adults are overweight or obese, a number that is set to increase from a year-and-a-half of social isolation, with gyms sporadically closing and shutting.

It must be noted however, Cheshire East is within the Top 20 most healthiest boroughs in the UK, which includes the good people of the SK9 area.
