GALLERY: Wilmslow Christmas light switch-on 2024

On Saturday 16 November thousands turned up to see the Christmas lights being switched on in Wilmslow.

The Christmas lights were switched on at 5pm by Wilmslow business owner Amy Hughes with the help of Santa and the winner of Wilmslow Town Council's competition.

The stage line-up included Wilmslow High School's Jazz band, TEMPO, Wilmslow High School's Choir and Lacey Green Primary Academy.

Thousands lined up to watch the Christmas lights being switched on in Wilmslow (Wilmslow Nub News).

At 4pm, Santa's reindeer made an appearance, pulling Santa in his sleigh from the High School to Wilmslow Leisure Centre.

The parade travelled down Broadway, making its way towards the Leisure Centre before stopping at the cricket pitch in front of the Leisure Centre.
