Locals attended the Remembrance service in Wilmslow yesterday (10 November) to honour fallen veterans.

Many lined the streets in the morning to watch the parade set off under the control of Parade Marshal Andy Barrows (Air Cadets) towards St Bartholomew's Church, where all were invited for a 10am service.

The congregation then made their way to the Memorial Gardens where the traditional 11am Remembrance Service was held, followed by the laying of wreaths and crosses.

Wreaths and crosses were layed to commemorate those who fought (Wilmslow Nub News).

Scouts were there as well as fire fighters and police officers to honour the fallen.

A Hymn was read out at the start of the service and towards the end of the service.

The service ended with the national anthem being played and those who attended were invited to join them in the Parish Hall for refreshments.
