National Trust launches project to monitor Cheshire's habitats

The National Trust has launched a new project to monitor Cheshire's habitats.
Fixed-point photography posts have been set up in Cheshire's National Trust parks including in Alderley Edge, Hare Hill and Quarry Bank.
Members of the public are encouraged to take photos of these areas and share them.
The initiative aims to capture seasonal changes in Cheshire's landscape, aiding the National Trust in tracking the restoration of key habitats across the River Bollin catchment.

The project is part of a larger £800,000 investment focused on improving wildlife habitats and waterbodies, managing flooding, and tackling climate change across the River Bollin catchment and other parts of Cheshire.
Each fixed-point photography point has a cradle for phones, alongside information on how to share photos with the conservation charity.
The photography points are strategically placed at key points of interest in the landscape, with their exact locations available on the National Trust's website.
