A road traffic accident happened in Alderley Edge, with no serious injuries reported.

Officers were called to the scene after reports were received about a collision between two cars.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: At 1.26pm on Tuesday 17 September police were called to a collision on Lynton Lane, Alderley Edge.

"Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a grey Volkswagen T-ROC and a grey BMW i4 eDrive.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries, but one person was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

"The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident, it reopened at 3pm."
