A major road in Wilmslow has been closed due to a gas leak.

Cadent Gas have been dealing with an ongoing gas escape on Manchester Road for a number of weeks.

Unfortunately the road will need to be closed to excavate and locate the leak to repair.

Cadent Gas will complete this repair with high priority and will ensure reinstatement follows straight after the investigation and hopeful repair has taken place.

The road will be closed at approximately 16.30pm today, Monday 23 September and will stay in place until the repair is completed.
