Wilmslow Town council confirm remembrance day arrangements

Wilmslow Town Council has confirmed the arrangements for Wilmslow's Remembrance Sunday.

 Remembrance Sunday Parade will depart from Grove Avenue on Sunday 10 November at 9.30am prompt with participants to arrive by 9.15am.

The parade, under the control of Parade Marshal Andy Barrows from Air Cadets, will depart from Grove Avenue and pass down Grove Street before crossing the junction and moving down Church Street and arriving at St Bartholomew's Church.

All are invited in to St Bartholomew's Church for the 10am service.

At around 10.45am, the congregation will make their way to the Memorial Gardens where the traditional 11am Remembrance Service will be held, followed by the laying of wreaths and crosses.

Any group requiring a wreath should purchase in good time, directly from Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal at  www.poppyshop.org.uk

There will not be a second parade following the 11am Memorial Garden service.

Wilmslow's Remembrance Sunday is organised and facilitated by Wilmslow Town Council in conjunction with St Bartholomew's Church.
