The Wilmslow half marathon will start at the earlier time of 9.30am to help ensure that any road closures cause the minimum of inconvenience.
It will start at Wilmslow RUFC on Kings Road in Wilmslow.
This ever popular and prestigious race has regularly been voted one of the top road races in the UK by readers of "Runner's World" magazine.
The chosen charity this year is Wilmslow based Bare Necessities.
Over the years charity partners has raised more than a million pounds.
