Classic Christmas movies will be screened at the UNESCO World Heritage site, for the first time.
Jodrell Bank will host 15 festive cinema screenings, with individual titles confirmed so far such as Miracle on 34th Street and Nightmare Before Christmas.
The family festive fun will take place at dates between Monday 7 December and Tuesday 22 December.
Jodrell Bank Marketing Manager Holly Westwood had this to say on the new event: "It's time for 'Home Alone in the Dome'," she said.
"For the first time, we're turning our planetarium into a festive cinema.
"With 15 showings to choose from, including Elf, Muppet Christmas Carol, Love Actually, Die Hard, The Holiday and many more, it's a family treat or a date night with a difference.
"Tickets cost between £7 and £10.
"Search 'Winter Films' on jodrellbank.net."
Black-and-white Yuletide classic 'It's A Wonderful Life' will also be screened.
