Wilmslow home care provider raises vital funds for Alzheimer's Society

A home care provider based in Wilmslow has raised almost £500 for Alzheimer's Society by completing the Cheshire Memory Walk.

Carefound Home Care's Wilmslow branch joined 857 other walkers at Tatton Park on Saturday 12 October 2024 to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's Society.

Hayley Gill, Gemma Thomson, Helen Mills, Sam Gregory, her stepdaughter Lexi and their dog Gizmo completed the 5km Cheshire Memory Walk and raised a total of £495.

The event took a lovely scenic route through Tatton Park, starting and finishing at the Showground site.

Hayley Gill, Registered Branch Manager at Carefound Home Care in Wilmslow, said: "At Carefound Home Care we know the challenges that some of our clients and their families face because of dementia.

"Being able to come together for events like this and raising vital funds to help fight dementia is important to us all.

"It was great to be a part of the Cheshire Memory Walk this year and, with the weather on our side, we thoroughly enjoyed walking through Tatton Park with over 850 other supporters.

"We are really pleased with the amount of money we raised for Alzheimer's Society and look forward to walking again in the future."

Dementia is the UK's biggest killer and there are nearly a million people living with it.
