Fire crews have rescued 13 people from properties which were affected by flooding in Wilmslow.

This morning at around 8.40am (Wednesday 1 January), firefighters were called to Fulshaw Park following heavy flooding.

Two fire engines from Northwich and Chester attended the scene, which has been heavily affected by the flooding.

Firefighters used a raft to rescue 13 people from properties, which were affected by floodwater in Wilmslow.

This comes after flood warnings were put in place across the UK.
