The Green Room Theatre celebrates a century of theatre magic next month by kicking off with their season opener 'Present Laughter' by Noel Coward.
The theatre has provided 100 years of entertainment since it opened its doors on 30 October 1924.
'Present Laughter' was last performed at the Green Room in 1985 and will now return in October this year to start the centenary season.
The play is considered one of Noel Coward's finest works, grappling with the highs and lows of the life of successful actor Garry Essendine.
Matthew Smith, Director said: "The play is a testament to Noël Coward's brilliance as a playwright and a great choice to kick off our 100-year celebrations as it's so evocative of the era in which we started.
"Coward was best known for his highly polished comedies of manners, sharp wit, and memorable characters, and the enduring appeal of this play make it a must-see for theatre lovers of all ages.
"Whether you're a fan of classic comedy or simply looking for an evening of sophisticated entertainment, 'Present Laughter' is sure to leave you smiling long after the final curtain falls."
The Green Rooms centenary celebrations will include a Gala performance before an invited audience of 'Present Laughter', a Centenary Dinner Dance, at The Alderley Edge Hotel, and a season of productions that offers something for everyone to enjoy.
