Wilmslow Prep School celebrates set of successful senior school applications

Wilmslow Prep school celebrates another set of successful senior school applications from its Prep 6 pupils who sat entrance exams earlier this year.
Seventeen pupils received 34 offers from a wide range of Manchester Consortium schools including Manchester Grammar School, Manchester High School for Girls, Stockport Grammar, Withington Girls School and King's Macclesfield.
A further 5 passes were achieved at the Trafford schools including Altrincham Boys, Altrincham Girls, Loreto, Urmston and St Ambrose making this one of Wilmslow Prep's most successful years to date.
Commenting on the results, Headteacher, Mr Lavagna-Slater said, "We are all incredibly proud of the children's achievements. They have put in a lot of hard work to achieve these results under the expert guidance of our teaching staff and with support from their families.
"As a prep school, we are focused on ensuring our pupils leave us as well-rounded individuals, ready for the next stage of school life. Whilst our academic curriculum is important as part of this process, these children have also benefitted from active involvement in sports, drama, music and art – they have certainly been busy.
"Huge congratulations to this year's Prep 6 and thank you to our amazing team of teachers and support staff – everyone has played their part."
These exceptional results follow the publication of the school's recent rigorous inspection report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) which found that the school met the five regulatory standards covering educational and pastoral provision.
The school's next Open Morning is on Wednesday 30 April from 10am to 12pm. You can find out about Wilmslow Prep School by visiting www.wilmslowprep.co.uk.
