Chelsea Flowers in Wilmslow raised a grand total of £399.20 at their latest coffee morning in support of the charity Macmillan.

Locals were invited to join for a few hours of chatting, homemade cake and coffee between 10.30am and 1pm on Friday 27 September.

The award winning florist is well established within the local community and supportive of other local businesses and initiatives.

Owner at Chelsea Flowers, Kerry, said: "We run the event outside the shop every year and this year's total was our highest to date, with more attendees than ever.

"We invite our neighbours from along Chapel Lane and we always feel very well supported, particularly by Julie Dawn Potts and the group 'Love The Lane' who always attends and promotes the initiative on the group page.

"Our neighbours Stationery Supplies Wilmslow support us by helping with printing the invitations and getting the word out.

"It's always a very enjoyable event, a time to catch up with people, and the participants are usually very generous and comment on how lovely our home baked cakes are."
