A pub in Wilmslow has featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2025, which has just been released.

The Coach and Four has been featured in this years edition of the Guide after being included in last year's 2024 edition.

First published in 1972, it has quickly become the UK's best-selling beer and pub guide amongst real ale lovers.

It lists 4,500 of the best pubs across the UK and is the definitive beer drinker's guide for those seeking the best pints in the nation's pubs.

The Good Beer Guide 2025 has just been released (CAMRA).

In the 2025 edition of the Good Beer Guide, the Coach and Four has secured a spot as a top-quality pub.

The pub is an 18th century coaching house that serves the very best freshly cooked traditional English dishes, fine cask ales and a great selection of wines.

Originally called the New Inn, it was built about 1753 before being refurbished in 2002 when it was re-named The Coach and Four following a competition.

It has been praised for its hospitality and lodge-style accommodation.

The Coach and Four has made another appearance in the Guide as a top quality pub (Wilmslow Nub News).

Food is served all day, either in the restaurant or bar area, and four Hyde's cask beers are available to order. 

Outside, the pub has a covered and heated patio for smokers. Events such as quiz nights, music and comedy are held there, as well as charity and community events.

Information in the Guide is collated by thousands of CAMRA volunteers who give up their time every year to select the best of the best across the UK.

As well as covering 143 of the very best pubs across Merseyside and Cheshire, it includes 36 new pub entries across the counties.  

Despite the tough trading environment facing a lot of licensees, they continue to battle against the odds, and the 2025 Guide boasts over 900 pubs that are new to this edition.

Ash Corbett-Collins, the chairman of CAMRA, said: "CAMRA's mission is to ensure support from the government, as well as tangible legislation to protect pubs in this country.

"By next year's edition of the Guide, we want to be talking about the beer and pub trade growing with the support of communities and parliament alike."
