A Wilmslow pub is hosting a variety of events and fundraising activities in support of veterans and the Royal British Legion.

The Wilmslow Tavern will raise a glass to veterans as part of its poppy appeal partnership to mark remembrance day which is on Monday 11 November.

They are honoured to showcase their remembrance wall this month, a dedicated space for those who wish to leave a photo or write a message of remembrance for loved ones who have served past and present.

Available from Saturday 26 October, the pub is proud to offer their limited-edition poppy glasses in collaboration with the Royal British Legion.

Limited-edition poppy glasses will be availble to buy (Wilmslow Tavern).

A half pint glass will cost £2 and a pint glass will cost £2.50.

Customers are able to purchase one of these stylish glasses and keep it as a lasting reminder of those who have served in the armed forces.

All of the profit, which is £0.47 from half pint and £0.97 from pint glass sales will be paid to the Royal British Legion Trading Limited which gives its taxable profits to the Royal British Legion.

There is also a veteran's breakfast on Sunday 10 November and Monday 11 November, where veterans will be provided with a free pint.
