Wilmslow Town Council is inviting new grant applications from local community groups before Monday 17 February 2025.

There are two types of grant available from Wilmslow Town Council:

  1. The Community Grant – a general grant to encourage, promote and facilitate positive work in and around Wilmslow.
  2. The Green Community Fund – for projects that promote sustainable spaces, biodiversity conservation and 'Greening' the Town.

Applications must be from local groups, societies, clubs, organisations and charities (not individuals).

In most instances, the maximum grant awarded will be £2,000, to cover no more than 50 per cent of the overall project costs.

The full grant criteria and application forms are available on the Wilmslow Town Council grants page.

Wilmslow Town Mayor, Councillor Tim Higgins, said: "Wilmslow Town Council is very proud to support a wide range of local community group and charity initiatives through our two grant schemes.

"Grants can be used to cover a great breadth of projects, with recent funding being used for activities such as theatre group venue hire, counselling services, pond excavation, community nature events, lunch for people living alone and children's events at Wilmslow Library.

"I would encourage groups who are currently looking to fund projects that would benefit the Wilmslow community to see if they meet the grant application criteria."

Wilmslow Town Council grants will continue to be available for the council year 2025 – 2026, until all funds have been allocated, but those wishing to receive funding in the current council year should submit their application before Monday 17 February 2025.
